Bill graduated from Louisiana State University Law School in 1972 and has practiced law in Lake Charles, Louisiana ever since. His practice has focused upon the defense of industrial personal injury cases, toxic tort cases, and employment matters for clients in the petroleum and chemical industry. He has successfully defended mass tort cases and class actions. Bill is admitted to practice law in all courts of the state of Louisiana, the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He has served as an officer of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association and Southwest Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He was a member of the Southwest Louisiana Indigent Defender Board and served on the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association Ethics and Grievance Committee. Bill was a member of the Board of Directors and a past president of the Calcasieu Parish Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He was the Calcasieu Parish Crusade Chairman for the 1992 Cancer Crusade. He also served on the Board of Directors and is a past president of the Board of Counselors for St. Patrick’s Hospital.
